Privacy Policy

Covers what Tessera actually does today — the anonymous-first play model, optional email accounts, friend-room multiplayer, the daily leaderboard, and RevenueCat-processed purchases.

1Overview

Ohana5Games ("we," "us," "our") develops Tessera, a memory-tile puzzle game for iOS and Android. This policy explains what information Tessera collects, why, and the choices you have about it.

You can play the core, solo game without creating an account or providing any personal information. An email account is entirely optional and only needed if you want your progress to follow you across devices.

2Information we collect

Purchase information	Which products or subscription you bought and your entitlement status. We do not collect or store your payment card details — Apple or Google handles payment directly.	When you make a purchase.

We do not currently use any advertising or analytics SDK. If that changes, we'll update this policy first.

3How we use this information

To run the core game: save your progress, sync it across devices if you have an account, and keep your hint/points balances accurate.
To power multiplayer: match you with friends, show scores during a match, and calculate the daily leaderboard.
To process purchases and deliver what you paid for (hints, level skips, Pro benefits).
To respond when you contact support.

4Who we share it with

We don't sell your information. We share it only with the service providers that make Tessera work, and only as needed for them to do their job:

Supabase — our database, authentication, and file storage provider. It hosts your account, progress, and any avatar photo you upload.
RevenueCat — manages subscriptions and purchases across app stores.
Apple App Store / Google Play — process all payments directly; we never see your card details.
Other players — if you're in a friend match, your display name and avatar are visible to the other player(s) in that match. If you don't opt out, your display name, avatar, and points appear on the public daily leaderboard.

5Your choices

Play without an account. Creating an email account is always optional.
Leaderboard visibility. Turn off "Show me on multiplayer leaderboard" in Profile settings at any time — your points still count toward your own rank, but your name stops appearing publicly.
Delete your data. Email support@ohana5games.com from your account's email address and we'll delete your account and associated data, usually within [30 days]. (We're working on making this self-service inside the app.)

6Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the game and comply with our legal obligations. If you play anonymously and never create an account, your data lives only on your device and in our systems tied to that anonymous ID — uninstalling the app or clearing app data may permanently disconnect you from it.

7Children's privacy

Tessera is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@ohana5games.com and we'll delete it.

8Security

We use industry-standard measures — including encryption in transit and access controls on our database — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

9Changes to this policy

We'll update the "effective date" above when we make changes, and post the new version here. If a change is material, we'll make a reasonable effort to let you know in the app.
